Asuka’s photographs reflect her experiences growing up in the rural landscapes of Japan, enveloped by the serene embrace of trees and mountains. Nature has been a constant and significant presence throughout her life and film photography emerged as a medium that granted her the time to contemplate and reflect on her surroundings.
