The Birth of _________ is a zine featuring a collection of visual collages inspired by the mix-and-match book style. It captures the dichotomy of information overload versus absence, mirroring the complexities of Rome as observed throughout the semester.

The collages combine primary sources, secondary materials, and personal photographs. By flipping through and creating new visual pairings, the zine examines the role of iconography in storytelling and legacy, particularly in the context of fascist monuments and their connection to the social and political ideals of contemporary Rome.
